Trinket Trove is the house: the curated shop of tools that hold the body. The Trove is its voice: the free magazine that explains, in full, why each tool is here.
Why I built this
Gillian Parkinson F. · founder & editor
I didn’t discover spirituality when my life fell apart. I carried it with me the whole time.
I grew up in Venezuela, in a Trinidadian family, on an island where the spirit world wasn’t a separate thing. By the time I was a teenager, I was reading the mystics, sitting with the questions, studying the Laws of the Universe, long before any of it had a name.
Sunlight and the beach were simply the rhythm of life. Our beach house, La Ciénaga, was a staple at least every other weekend and every vacation. The sun was always there. So I was stunned the first time someone told me I had to protect myself from it. In my heart, everything natural, everything that comes from God as nature does, is good for us, and I will choose it first over any man-made option. That belief runs through everything in this house; the research is how we check it.
The years that came next looked like business. Hotels, conferences, marketing across South America, building companies in three countries. People who met me then thought I’d built a life from the strategist side. They didn’t see the other half: the quiet study, the practice, the inner work that kept showing up underneath.
“I carried it with me the whole time. I just hadn’t made it the main event yet.”
The convergence happened in Philadelphia. I went deeper. Pundit Hector became one of my teachers. I sat with plant medicine traditions, with Bufo ceremony, with the spaces where the body finally lets go. I went to Dr. Joe Dispenza’s week-long advanced retreat in Orlando. I sat in James Arthur Ray’s Practical Mysticism in Hawaii. I attended the Each One Teach One retreat in New York. I trained in Reiki, Reconnective Healing, Spiritual Response Therapy and TAMA TAIE. Each one taught me the same thing in a different language: energy moves first, the body follows.
Trinket Trove is the trove of what I’d put in the homes of women I love: women who have already done the years of work, and are ready for the tools that hold what comes next. The Trove, our magazine, is where I show you why each one is here, with the evidence graded honestly, including when the answer is “not yet.” No paid placements. No “limited time” theatre. Just what survived years of looking, and what I’d hand to my niece, my sisters and my closest friends.

The house and its voice
Trinket Trove is the shop. It gathers a small number of tools and supplements across twelve categories, from gut health and vitamins to saunas, red light and the inner work. See the edit.
The Trove is the magazine. One themed, numbered issue a month, free, plus the articles in between. The five themes, Heat, Cold, Light, Field and Spirit, now live on as issue themes inside The Trove. It is where the research is read, graded and explained, and where a tool earns its place, or does not.
They serve the same purpose. The magazine is a compilation of what the shop stands for, and the shop is only what the magazine can defend. That is why every product in the edit links to the article or issue behind it, and every article links back to the tools it discusses.
Who chooses
Everything here is chosen by Gillian Parkinson F., who has spent forty years in research, study and practice: Reiki, Reconnective Healing, Spiritual Response Therapy, TAMA TAIE, plant-medicine traditions and Dr. Joe Dispenza’s advanced work. She is also the founder of Alchemy Life Retreats & Travel and GPF Business Systems. The books that shaped her work, and this house, are on the shelf in The Library.
The audience is one woman: a woman in the know, who has already done years of inner work, and who refuses to choose between science and spirit. The final filter is a single question. Would I give this to a woman I love?
Our standards
Every tool, supplement and teacher is held to four questions:
Is there research behind it? Peer-reviewed evidence on the practice, and ideally on the product. Where the evidence is early, we say so.
Is it built to last? Materials, manufacturing, third-party testing, and the company behind it.
Would I use it myself? And we tell you plainly which pieces are in my own cabinet (marked What I use) and which were researched, not personally tested.
Would I give it to a woman I love? The filter that removes the most.
How we choose
How we grade the evidence
Articles in The Trove grade what the research shows in three plain words:
The honest grade
Established
Strong, repeated human evidence.
Promising
Real signals, not yet settled.
Wait
Interesting, but not yet worth your money on its own.
What the labels mean
What I use: in my own cabinet. First person is used only for these, and the grade still applies: some of them are a Wait.
Researched, not personally tested: chosen on research and specification review.
On my radar: watched, not yet formally reviewed.
What we will not feature
Products that rely on fear, urgency or claims the evidence does not support. “Research use only” compounds, unapproved peptides and prescription drugs: we cover them editorially, with their regulatory status stated honestly, and never sell or link them. Anything that promises to cure, treat or prevent disease. No exclamation points, no countdown timers, no “sale” theatre.
How affiliate links work
Some links on Trinket Trove and in The Trove are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the brand pays us a commission. The price you pay is the same.
Every product in the edit carries a label, so you always know which kind of link you are clicking:
Affiliate link: we may earn a commission.
Direct, no commission: we earn nothing from it. Many of our picks are here before any partnership exists, because they earned it first.
Link coming soon: reviewed and recommended, link not yet live.
Commissions keep The Trove free. They never decide what is featured. No brand pays for placement, no brand sees or approves our writing before it is published, and if a product stops meeting the standard, it leaves, commission or not.
Disclosure
In line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements, we disclose material connections with brands: affiliate relationships are labelled where the link appears, on product cards and in articles, as well as here. If a family member or friend made something we feature, we say so on the page: Drops of Wisdom is by my niece, Evy Y. Parkinson. The full statement is on How I choose.
Everything here is educational and is not medical advice. Statements about supplements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration, and nothing here is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Speak with your clinician before starting any new protocol.
